AKRON — Peggy A. Kats, 65, rural Rochester, died at 2:20 a.m. March 13, 2017, at St. Joseph Regional Medical Center, Mishawaka. She was born Dec. 14, 1951, in Fulton County, to John and Patsy Alspaugh Jackson. In 1994 she married William Kats, who preceded in 2006. She was a homemaker. She enjoyed cooking, baking and gardening. Survivors include two daughters, Dana Jackson and Nicole Kats (husband Travis Fisher), both of Warsaw; her mother, Patsy (husband Terry) Cave, Rochester; her father, John (wife Marilyn) Jackson, Macy; 10 grandchildren; a sister, Doris Lewis, Rochester; two half sisters, Brenda and Kandi; and two half brothers, Dale and Danny. She was preceded by a son, Brent Jackson; and a brother, Don Jackson. Services will be at 7 p.m. March 22 in Hartzler Funeral Home, 305 W. Rochester St., Akron., with Pastor Kathy Nelson officiating.
