Pedestrian Killed By Jeep Sunday MorningA Cromwell man walking on Ind. 13 was killed Sunday morning after being hit by a vehicle.
Pronounced dead at the scene was Eric Espinoza, 21, Cromwell.
According to a Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office press release, the KCSO Fatal Team responded to the collision that occurred at about 3:49 a.m. Sunday.
Preliminary results of the investigation indicate that Amy Pavel, 25, North Webster, was driving a Jeep Compass north on Ind. 13, north of Syracuse-Webster Road, prior to the crash. Evidence indicates that Espinoza was walking on the travel portion of the road when he was hit by the Jeep.
The crash remains under investigation.
Responding agencies included the KCSO, North Webster and Syracuse police departments, Tippecanoe Township Fire Territory and the Kosciusko County coroner.
