Pedestrian Hit By Car On CR 300EA Warsaw man was flown to a Fort Wayne hospital after being hit by a car while walking Wednesday.
James Roder, 33, Warsaw, was taken by Lutheran Air Ambulance to Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne for chest injuries, according to information from the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office.
Shortly after 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, the KCSO, Milford Fire Department and Lutheran EMS were dispatched to CR 300E, south of Defreese Road, for a vehicle-pedestrian crash.
KCSO deputies determined that Nathan Nibert, 32, Warsaw, was driving a 2006 Pontiac southbound on CR 300E. Two men were walking south on the west side of CR 300E in the path of Nibert's vehicle.
Nibert’s Pontiac hit one of the men, Roder, who was walking on the roadway at the time of the collision.
The crash remains under investigation by the KCSO. Milford and Syracuse Police Departments assisted at the scene.
