Pearlie Marie Prater, 90, of Warsaw, passed away at 4:45 p.m.  May 24, 2013, in Miller’s Merry Manor, Warsaw.
She was born Aug. 26, 1922, in Floyd County, Ky., to Malcolm and Lula Sparks Adams. On April 15, 1939, she married Virgil Preston Prater, who died Feb. 5, 2001.
A resident of Kosciusko County for the past 53 years, she was a homemaker and member of God’s Highway to Heaven Church, Warsaw.
Surviving are five sons: Wilford (and spouse Vickie) Prater, Cliff Prater and Ron (and spouse Carla) Prater, all of Warsaw; Don (and spouse Judy) Prater, Claypool; and Arnold (and spouse Amy) Prater, Silver Lake; five daughters: Juanita (and spouse Nathan) Shepherd, Geneva (and spouse Rick) Bayne, Phyllis (and spouse  Greg) Varney, Mary Prater and Barb (and spouse Darrell) Prater, all of Warsaw; 30 grandchildren; more than 100 great-grandchildren; many great-great-grandchildren; and a sister-in-law, Nancy Adams Manuel,   Prestonsburg. She also was preceded in death by her parents, two grandsons, a granddaughter, three brothers, two sisters and a daughter-in-law.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at God’s Highway to Heaven Church, 555 W. Weber St., Warsaw, with Pastor Bob Brown officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.
Calling is from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home, 225 Argonne Road, Warsaw.
