NORTH MANCHESTER — Pearl West, 85, formerly of North Manchester, died at 4:40 p.m. Feb. 15, 2017, at Parkview Wabash Hospital.
She was born Dec. 7, 1931, in Johnson County, Ky., to Robert and Vinie Clark Griffith. She married John Hare in North Manchester on Oct. 7, 1950; he died Dec. 15, 1971. She married Robert West and he also preceded her in death.
She was a seamstress for 25 years for Cline's Products in Huntington. She enjoyed going on family fishing trips; going to and having garage sales; gardening, especially house plants; and sewing.
She is survived by four children: Melinda McFarland and John (spouse Nona) Hare, both of Warsaw; Tina Cline, Huntington; and James Hare, North Manchester; four grandchildren: Josh (spouse Misty) Cline, Huntington; John (spouse Jamie) Cline, South Bend; Jennifer (spouse Dwayne) Brumley, Niles, Mich.; and Jamie Hare, Liberty Mills; four great-grandchildren; two sisters, Regina Monroe and Dorothy Morris, both of Wabash; and a brother, James (spouse Donna) Griffith, Mesa, Ariz.
She was also preceded by her parents; two brothers, Charlie Griffith and Bob Griffith; and a sister, Betty Jo Griffith.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Congregational Christian Church, 310 N. Walnut St., North Manchester, with Pastor Sebrena Cline officiating. Burial will be in Oaklawn Cemetery, North Manchester.
Friends may call from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Saturday at the church.
