Patty Jo HauthPatty Jo Hauth, of Warsaw, passed away on Dec. 31, 2021, at Miller’s Merry Manor, Warsaw, at the age of 87.
She was born on May 19, 1934, in Lafayette, to Donald and Clara Ponder Gordon. She was united in marriage to Austin Dunn Hauth on Oct. 3, 1954, in Warsaw. They celebrated 62 years together before his passing on Jan. 4, 2017.
Patty grew up in Kosciusko County. She graduated from Warsaw High School in 1952. She was a homemaker and loved sewing. She did craft shows for many years where she sold her lace pillows that she handmade. She was also known for her yo-yo quilts. Patty and Austin spent 25 years in Sebring, Fla., and moved back to Warsaw in 2008.
Patty is survived by her daughter, Susan “Sue” (Michael) Zellers, of Warsaw; grandson, Matthew Zellers, of Warsaw; granddaughter, Jennifer Zellers, of Indianapolis; and sister, Phyllis Huffer, of Juneau, Alaska. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Austin; and sister, Donna Gordon Hearn.
Titus Funeral Home and Cremation Services in entrusted with Patty’s care. She will be laid to rest with her husband Austin at Oakwood Cemetery in Warsaw. A private graveside will be held at a later date.
