A Warsaw man is facing a felony battery charge after he was being kicked out of a bar and injured the bartender.
Caleb J. Mann, 26, of 3245 S. Beech Lane, Warsaw, was booked in the Kosciusko County Jail at 6:24 p.m. Sunday and faces a Level 6 felony battery causing moderate bodily injury charge.
According to the probable cause affidavit filed July 16 in Kosciusko Superior Court III, on June 27 Warsaw police responded to Rex’s Rendezvous and spoke with a bartender there.
She, along with several other witnesses in the bar at the time, told police that Mann was arguing with another bar patron and the bartender intervened. As the bartender was escorting Mann out of the establishment, Mann slammed the door into the bartender’s head.
The woman had to be taken to a local hospital, where she received six stitches on her head, according to court papers.
