Patricia “Pat” Murray Gargett, of Syracuse, was welcomed into the loving arms of her Lord and Savior on Dec. 22, 2025, after an extended illness. She was 75.
Born on Jan. 21, 1950, to Max and Mabel Murray, Pat grew up in Warsaw and graduated from Warsaw High School in 1968. In her youth, she enjoyed working at the Wagon Wheel Theater and attending dances at Tippy Ballroom. As an adult, she worked various jobs in retail, and most recently at Chore-Time in Milford. After retirement, Pat and her husband, Dave, moved from Dewart Lake to Mountain Home, Arkansas. While in Mountain Home, she spent her days volunteering, on the golf course, holding different positions at the Elks Club and boating. Pat loved to travel, especially to warm climates. She loved cruising and the beach. Pat and Dave often traveled to Topsail Island, N.C., to enjoy outdoor life with Dave’s brother, Jim, and his wife, Mary. Pat enjoyed every moment, often being the life of the party and bringing joy and laughter to everyone around her.
Pat devoted her life to her family, and always enjoyed time with her children and grandchildren. She is survived by her four children: Bunny Gregory Tobin, of Syracuse; Gretchen (Mitch) Willaman, of Leesburg; Candy (Derek) Tracy, of Partlow, Va.; and David Gregory, of Syracuse. She had nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Pat was preceded in death by her husband, Dave; both of her parents, as well as her two brothers, Ed and Bill Murray; and her grandson, Marcus Yates.
At Pat’s request, her family will hold a private celebration of life.
