Patricia Ann Pifer, 85, of 337 Grace Village Drive, Winona Lake, went home to be with her Lord Jesus Christ at 11:05 p.m. Aug. 23, 2011, in Grace Village Health Care, Winona Lake.
She was born Sept. 21, 1925, in Plymouth, to Clarence W. and Anna Mae Holloway Best. On Jan. 21, 1947, she married Clifford L. Pifer, who died June 15, 1990.
A lifetime resident of Warsaw, she was a homemaker, devoted wife and loving mother. She attended First Christian Church, Warsaw.
She will be lovingly remembered by her five sons: Lewis (Joanne) Pifer, Clifford W. “Bill” (Mona) Pifer, Thomas (Dixie) Pifer and Gerry (Beth) Pifer, all of Warsaw, and Timothy Pifer, Hillsboro, Ore.; five daughters: Jody Ritzert, Pettisville, Ohio; Cindy (and the Rev. S. Allen) Konkle, Marmet, W.Va.; and Mary (Patrick) Cole, Jeanne (Larry) Clevenger and Debbie (Dr. Sean) Rhodes, all of Warsaw; 34 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren, and a sister, Jeanne Silveus, Warsaw. She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister, a granddaughter, a grandson and a son-in-law.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home, 225 Argonne Road, Warsaw, with the Rev. S. Allen Konkle officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.
Calling is from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
