NORTH MANCHESTER – Patricia A. Staten, 71, of North Manchester, died at 7:27 a.m. Feb. 20, 2013, in Peabody Healthcare Center, North Manchester. She was born Jan. 27, 1942, in Indianapolis, to William and Betty Fodge Young. She formerly worked at Peabody Home; was a waitress at Hoosier Point Restaurant, Wabash; and later was a clerk and assistant manager at United Oil, North Manchester. Surviving are a son, Michael (and spouse Tonya) Staten, Auburn; two daughters, Karen (and spouse Jamie) Fry, Wabash, and Krystal (and spouse Burt) Scarlett, Peru; six brothers, Raymond, Bill Jr. and Maurice Lisby, Eric Moore and Kevin and Bob Young; four sisters, Katy Seyfried, Alice Young, Yvonne Mosley and Barbara Brown; 10 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two brothers and a sister. A memorial service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Congregational Christian Church, North Manchester, with Pastor J.P. Freeman officiating. Burial will be in Oaklawn Cemetery, North Manchester. Calling is after the service at the church.
