Patricia A. Newingham Owens, 64, passed away at 7:50 p.m. March 15, 2012, in Miller’s Merry Manor, Warsaw.
She was born Feb. 22, 1948, in Risco, Mo., to Obie “Pete” and Mary Genevieve Jackson Newingham, who died. Her stepfather was Jessie Whitaker. On May 22, 1967, in Warsaw, she married Dallas Owens, who survives in Warsaw.
She was a member of First Freewill Baptist Church, Claypool, and was a day care provider for 25 years.
Also surviving are three daughters, Missy (and spouse Charlie) Holbrook, Joni Owens, all of Warsaw, and Julie (and spouse John) Jeffries, Winona Lake; two sons, Jody (and spouse Terry) Owens, Winona Lake, and Dewayne (and spouse Holly) Owens, Warsaw; a sister, Brenda (and spouse Norman) Grubbs, Warsaw; a brother, Stan (and spouse Dana) Newingham, Evansville; a half-brother, Darrell (and spouse Glenda) Newingham, Dayton, Ohio; five stepsisters: Pauline (and spouse Leonard) Blankenship, Silver Lake, Deloris (and spouse Reverend Ervin) Bradley, Hamlet, Lorene (and spouse Jeff) Moore, Warsaw, Geraldine Slaymaker, Warsaw, and Mary Coning, North Manchester; four stepbrothers: Pastor William (and spouse Lora) Whitaker, Warsaw, J.B. (and spouse Cindy) Whitaker, North Manchester, Pastor Frank (and spouse Lisa) Whitaker, Akron and Jerry Whitaker, Warsaw; 10 grandchildren: Dillon and Chase Holbrook, Warsaw, Gage, Mason, and Mollie Owens, Winona Lake, Nicole, Sarah, and Jaxson Jeffries, Winona Lake, and Trevor and Alyssa Owens, Warsaw. She was preceded in death by her stepfather and two stepbrothers.
Services will be at 12:30 p.m. Monday in First Freewill Baptist Church, CR 700S, Claypool, with Pastor Terry Bradford officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.
Calling is from 2 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the church.
McHatton-Sadler Funeral Home is in charge of services.
