Pass The Cookies' Opening Day For Brick-And-Mortar Store Is Friday

Posted

NORTH WEBSTER – Friday is the opening day for Pass the Cookies at 728 S. Main St., North Webster.
Before a ribbon-cutting ceremony today with the North Webster-Tippecanoe Township Chamber of Commerce, owner Rose Pass said Pass The Cookies started as a home bakery in 2024. She said she always wanted a brick-and-mortar store.
“I was doing it in my home and I loved doing that because I was able to be with my children, but I knew that I wanted something more solid, something that I knew would bring more people in because you don’t really get to talk to people when you’re a home bakery. But having a brick-and-mortar, I’m able to actually communicate, converse with people more and that’s what I love to do,” she said.
When asked how she got into the business, she said when she got pregnant with her son, she had to be put on bed rest, but she couldn’t just stay on bed rest.
“And I felt God really lead my hear to start baking, so then I started baking and I absolutely fell in love with it. It became such a passion,” she said. “And I just kept going with it, and God has just blessed me so much with everything.”
Pass the Cookies offers cookies, cake slices, cupcakes, doughnuts and decorated goods for any type of occasion.
Gourmet cookies cost $3, “but the price goes down with the bigger the quantity that you get.” The same goes for their gourmet doughnuts, she said. There will be classic doughnut and cookie options as well. Pass said all cupcakes offered will be gourmet and will be $3.
She said she plans on offering a wide variety of flavors.
She hopes she’ll be able to minister through her business to everybody.
Her opening weekend, this weekend, she will be donating 10% of her profits to the Beaman Home. She’s donated to a lot of places in the past, “so my biggest thing is I just want to be here for the community and be able to give back,” she said.
Hours for Pass the Cookies are 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesday through Sunday.
