Warsaw Parks and Recreation Department announced a Community Paddle Boarding and Canoeing event for 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday, June 16 at Pike Lake Beach, 1009 E. Arthur St., Warsaw.
This free program gives community members the opportunity to explore the lake using paddle boards or canoes.
No registration is needed, but all participants must have a waiver and rules form on file each calendar year. Participants under 18 must have a parent or guardian sign the waiver.
A few things to know before you paddle:
• Participants under 16 must have an adult in the water with them.
• Paddle boards, canoes, and life vests are provided by the Parks Department.
• Equipment is available first come, first served and used in timed sessions so everyone has a chance to participate.
• Staff will provide a quick safety overview before you head out on the water.
• All activities are supervised by Parks staff.
Stop by, grab a paddle, and enjoy the lake!
