Re: Matt Perry, "Facts Are Facts," Times-Union Sept. 11.
I'll begin by saying something nice about Matt Perry. He ends his letter (e-mail) with "formerly of Warsaw and Mentone." Formerly. N-i-c-e. Hope it stays that way.
"Facts are Facts". I read his vicious letter three times and was unable to locate one singe documented, provable, actual fact.
What I read was outrageous lies, smears, twisted situations and absolutely unbelievable accusations.
Seeing the sources of his "research" answers a lot of questions: politico.com, yahoo.com, youtube.com, fictitious court documents, Los Angeles Times, Guardian and Newsweek's Ann Quindlen. The only group missing is moveon.org Every one of these groups is a left-leaning liberal organization supporting only liberals and socialists. They do no deal with truth or facts. None of them would recognize the truth if it jumped up and bit them on the behind. So much for fact-checking and whatnot.
Sen. John McCain has suffered more, has done more and will continue to do more for our country than Matt Perry could ever hope to achieve.
After spending more than five years being tortured, denied treatment for his two broken shoulders and one broken leg, being kept in isolation for more than two years, he returned loving his country and determined to continue to serve his country.
The lies written by Matt Perry are disgusting and appalling.
I'll close this the way I closed a letter to Tom Metzger a few weeks back.
I'll no longer rise to the bait and respond to Matt Perry's vitriolic diatribes.
I refuse to lower myself to his subterranean level.
