Editor, Times-Union: One fall day so sunny and bright The pilgrims and the Indians they did not fight They killed quite a few of their turkey As they ate a good feast They all got together then they made peace The pilgrims and Indians talked together And way back when they all said or say We shall call this feast Thanksgiving Day The seasons changed from fall, winter to spring The birds flew north as they began to sing The days got longer so sunny and warm The Indians taught the pilgrims how to grow corn It took some time to know their score for we all have something to be thankful for Troy Duty Warsaw
