Some thoughts pertaining to Mr. Slone's article on racism printed in the Times-Union Oct. 12, 2007:
A person that tolerates everything stands for nothing.
Near the Mount Rushmore Monument in South Dakota, a stone mountain is being sculptured to produce a gigantic likeness of Native American Chief Crazy Horse. The Native American (tribes of the red race) say that the faces on Mount Rushmore are heroes to the white race, but Chief Crazy Horse is a hero to the red race. The Native Americans want their lands (the American continent) returned. They want all other races and the melting pot to get the hell off. They are not interested in diversity. The various tribes are eliminating from tribal rolls anyone that cannot prove their pure red descent. A few years ago Cher popularized a song about a half-breed white-red girl that was rejected by both races.
There are those of us that remember the beautiful "fox" squirrels that inhabited the Warsaw area before a failed attempt was made to diversity the squirrel population. Now that the fox squirrels have been displaced by the black, wish we could turn back time?
Many of those that speak of themselves as black or Afro-Americans don't want diversity. The Nation of Islam, headed by Minister Farrakhan, wants an all-black nation. And, many wealthy blacks are moving to gated communities in the south to places like Atlanta, where they can live exclusively among other wealthy blacks. Most of the remaining blacks don't want to be like whites, they just want what the whites have. That was the case with Kenneth Purvis in Jena who asked to sit under one particular tree. He knew full well that his actions would aggravate an already tense situation. It was an error for him to have been told "he could sit anywhere." Of course, he couldn't. He couldn't sit in the girl's restroom. He couldn't sit in the teacher's lounge. He couldn't sit in the principal's chair. He couldn't sit in the middle of the football field during a game. He couldn't sit in the middle of the street ... and appeasing him didn't work. A statue to black race hero, MLK, will soon be among the presidents in Washington, D.C. Children of black-white parents are often taunted as "Oreos." Read "The Mulatto Conspiracy."
Then there is the Jewish race that doesn't want to diversify because they think they are "chosen."
Bias towards one comes with experience and does not automatically mean "hate" for the other.
If all the races sprang from the loins of Father Adam and Mother Eve, it is naive to believe the Americas could be forcibly taken from the red race and turned into a melting pot for the purposes of peaceful racial diversity for the other races, or that melting pot would not again divide into races ... unless some governmental authority decreed which person were permitted to engage in sex and with whom. Are you sure you want that?
