Editor, Times-Union: Good letter from Larry Sexton in last Friday’s paper. I’m glad to see that there are others that think like me. I won’t call the Obama zombies idiots. They are poor souls that wanted their side to win so bad, they would have voted Hitler in if he was still around. I had one of the zombies tell me the other day, and I quote, “We need to be thankful we are paying $4 a gallon for gas. It was a lot higher when Bush was in office,” unquote. Give me a minute while I stop laughing. I went to one of the supreme leader’s unapproved websites and actually found that gas prices rose 7 percent the first 26 months that W was in office compared to a 67 percent leap for O. Kind of an eye opener, isn’t it? Let me lay a few more goodies on ya. We have a $14 trillion debt at the time, with a 1.5 trillion deficit this year. We have another 106 trillion in unfunded liabilities for Medicare and Social Security. Six trillion in guaranteed mortgages by Fannie May and Freddie Mac with no assets to back them up. Over a trillion more for government and military pensions. Total federal debt and unfunded liabilities equals almost one million for every worker in the U.S. If each worker in the U.S paid his/her share of the interest on our total debt at 4 percent, it would cost you $40,000 a year. O talks about taxing the rich, which sounds good cause most of us are not rich. But do you know that 45 percent of all tax filers pay no income taxes? So there is more food for thought. While O is out drumming up money and votes for his election in 2012, our beloved country slides ever closer to the edge. You all can re-elect this joker in 2012 and let him finish dragging us to the bottom, or we can get someone in all of our government offices that actually gives a damn about this country.
