Editor, Times-Union: Dear VFW, I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for letting me go, volunteering my time waitressing for the Friday night fish fries after over 25 years. It would have been very courteous of you to have called me and explained why I was being let go instead of waiting for me to show up and coming to our vehicle to say we don’t need you tonight!
