Norman E. Busz

Norman E. Busz, 80, of Warsaw,  passed away at 4:55 a.m. May 23, 2013, at Miller’s Merry Manor, Warsaw.
He was born Sept. 23, 1932, in the old farm house in Pierceton, to Thurman and Nellie Bertwhistle. On Nov. 12, 1950, he married Edna Quier, who died April 2, 2000.
A lifetime resident of Pierceton, he was honorably discharged from the National Guard.
For many years he worked at the Pierceton Truck Stop. He was a good machinist and mechanic. He was always willing to help fix a car. His passion was living on the lake, fishing and watching wildlife.
Surviving are two sons, Roger Lee Busz, Warsaw,  and Terry Busz (and companion Tammy Rhoades), Warsaw; a daughter, Charlene (and spouse Kenneth) Hampton, Warsaw; a brother, James Busz, Pierceton; two sisters, Ada Finken, Pierceton, and Lois Sleighter, Columbia City; 12 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-granddaughter. He also was preceded in death by three brothers and a sister.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Pierceton, officiated by Pastor Billy Smith of Warsaw Community Church. Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery, Pierceton.
Calling is from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
