Norma Jean BradleyNORTH MANCHESTER – Norma Jean Bradley, 72, Warsaw, passed away Friday, Oct. 1, 2021, at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne.
Born in Magoffin County, Ky., on July 21, 1949, Norma Jean was the daughter of the late John B. and Lillie Mae Williams Wireman.
Two years after graduating from Magoffin County High School in 1967, Norma Jean married Gordon R. Bradley on May 29, 1969. The two spent 52 wonderful years together and had two children, Jeanette and Gordonell Bradley. Norma Jean loved spending time with her husband, daughters, grandchildren and other family members. She was always there to help them with whatever they needed. Norma Jean also relished in her time spent in the garden and tending to her flowers.
At the age of 27, Norma Jean began taking classes at Huntington Beauty College in Huntington. She later graduated and opened her own hair salon, Gordy’s Hair Studio, in Warsaw. She owned and operated the salon for 42 years before retiring in 2020.
The loving memory of Norma Jean Bradley will be forever cherished by her husband of 52 years, Gordon R. Bradley, Warsaw; daughters: Jeanette (Trent) Wuchter, Warsaw; and Gordonell (Greg) Horton, Claypool; brothers: John B. Wireman, Bull Creek, Ky.; and Paul Wireman and Odell Wireman, both of Gunlock, Ky.; sisters: Karen Hensley, Gunlock, Ky.; and Bernice Warrix, Warsaw; grandchildren, Trenton (Abi) Wuchter, Kyle (Brittney) Wuchter, Morgan Wuchter, Chayla Wuchter, Gordon Horton, and Grant Horton; great-grandchildren: Cale Wuchter, Nova Wuchter, Eli Wuchter, Audrey Wuchter, Sawyer Goodsell and Parker Goodsell; and many nieces and nephews.
Norma Jean was preceded in death by her parents, John and Lillie Mae Wireman; brother, Max Ray Wireman; and sisters, Gladys Louise Howard and Wanda Lou Wireman.
Family and friends may call Wednesday, Oct. 6 from 12 to 2 p.m. at McKee Mortuary, 1401 Ind. 114 West, North Manchester. Funeral services will begin at the conclusion of calling. Rocky Addair will officiate, and burial will be at Fairview Cemetery, CR 300 East and CR 1000 North, Servia.
The family of Norma Jean Bradley has entrusted McKee Mortuary, North Manchester, with care and final arrangements.
