No one was hurt early Saturday after a passerby called 911 and reported smoke and flames at a Warsaw apartment building.
Warsaw-Wayne Fire Territory responded to 736 E. Smith St., Warsaw, at 7:02 a.m. Saturday and upon arrival saw smoke coming from the second story of the building, according to WWFT Public Information Officer Max Kinsey.
Kinsey said a passerby call the fire in after reportedly seeing smoke and flames at the two-story, six-unit property.
Firefighters discovered a fire in the second story outside wall and had it extinguished in less than a half hour, Kinsey said, saying the cause is unknown at this time.
No one was injured, and estimated damage was not yet calculated.
WWFT was assisted at the scene by Winona Lake Fire Department, Warsaw Police Department and Lutheran EMS.
