Nicholas B. “Nick” Thrasher, 35, Ligonier, passed away at 2:48 p.m. May 29, 2016, at North Ridge Village Nursing Home, Albion. He was born June 9, 1980, in Sturgis, to Jeffery A. and Judy L. Baldwin Thrasher. He graduated in 1999 from Westview High School, Topeka, Ind., and lived most of his life in the Topeka, Syracuse, Ligonier and Goshen areas. He was formerly employed at Taco Bell, Goshen; Dairy Queen, Goshen and Ligonier; Applebee’s, Goshen; and Steak ’N’ Shake, Goshen. Surviving are his mother, Judy (and David Brown) Starbuck, Windsor Ontario, Canada; a sister, Michelle Thrasher, Ligonier; a brother, Michael Olin, Albion; a stepmother, Rhonda Thrasher, Ligonier; and paternal grandparents, Mary and Lyle Thrasher, Sturgis, Mich. He was preceded in death by his father. Services will be at 6 p.m. Friday at Owen Family Funeral Home, Syracuse. Burial will be in the Burr Oak (Mich.)
