Editor, Times-Union: I have a question about the “New Kirk’s Law.” The way I keep reading the articles about the “law” is it’s for parents of children in nursery or pre-kindergarten. Does this new law also include anyone who has been convicted of child abuse? This has been on my mind as I know someone who was sent to prison for a five-year sentence but was released early. She does not have any of her own children unless she has gotten pregnant again! This question needs answers for more people than me. Muriel O’Berry Warsaw
