WAKARUSA – Nathan Andrew Hixenbaugh, 28, of Wakarusa, died at 5:42 a.m. Sept. 11, 2013, at his residence after a 10-month illness. He was born March 12, 1985, in Mishawaka to James and Karen Eberlein Hixenbaugh. He lived his lifetime in this area. He was a 2003 graduate of NorthWood High School, and he received his bachelor’s degree in finance and economics from Ball State University. He was a loving uncle to his nieces and nephews. Surviving are his mother, Karen Housour, Wakarusa; a sister, Tara Hixenbaugh, Bristol; a brother, Joel (and spouse Lee) Eberlein, Edwardsburg; two stepsisters, Renee (and spouse Ken) Nisley, Erica (and spouse Brooks) Egolf, both of Nappanee; and two stepbrothers, Rodney (and spouse Beth) Housour, Goshen, and Jason Housour, Nappanee. He was preceded in death by his father, James Hixenbaugh, and his stepfather, Tony Housour. Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Thompson-Lengacher & Yoder Funeral Home, Wakarusa. Burial will be in Olive West Cemetery.
