NAPA Auto Parts Hosts Visit With Santa For CCSNAPA Auto Parts, 812 N. Detroit St., Warsaw, held a visit with Santa supporting Combined Community Services on Saturday.
NAPA Marketing Manager Scott Clay said kids were able to get a picture with Santa. The store was handing out candy and they were asking people to bring one food item for CCS. This is the second year NAPA has done the event.
Clay said after last year, NAPA was looking “to bring some happiness to everybody.”
He said he hoped when kids came in Saturday, they realized it’s a good thing to donate to CCS and when they grow up, they continue to give back.
“We’re just looking to make a little bit of a difference in that way,” he said.
Last year, NAPA collected enough food to fill two 55-gallons drums and Clay said he believed there was enough food to stack next to the drums. He hopes to do the same this year.
NAPA is going to continue collecting both food and monetary donations for CCS through the end of the month. Clay said money may be a better way to donate since CCS has a list of things the organization needs and they’ll be able to get those things directly from that list.
“There are a lot of people in our community who need extra assistance, and so I think it’s very important those people have the resources here in Kosciusko County to cover their down time,” he said. “CCS provides food all throughout the county and helps people in many different ways, so anything we can do to support that, it’s just a small, kind gesture from NAPA.”
