Editor, Times-Union: Good Morning, this is Rip Van Winkle, awakening from another long slumber. Hard to tell what year this is, but I believe I am still in the ’60s. The news on my radio tells of race riots and police being shot down in the streets. I guess I did not sleep as long as first thought. The only thing that makes me doubt the times is that the noise coming from my little transistor radio is strange. Some call it music, but it sure is not the great rock ’n’ roll that I remember. Nap time. Joe Curcio Warsaw, via email
