Most Zimmer-Biomet Layoffs Outside Of Warsaw, Company Says

To “right-size the organization” and align resources with business realities, Zimmer-Biomet announced a global workforce reduction late last week.
Zimmer-Biomet did not disclose in a release how many lost their jobs, but said most of the downsizing is outside of Warsaw.
The decision was not made lightly, Zimmer-Biomet stated, and the moves are necessary to allow the company to achieve its long-term strategy while also developing life-changing innovations for patients.
The company expressed confidence in the opportunity ahead to continue to shape the future of the musculoskeletal health industry.
Zimmer-Biomet is committed to supporting employees affected by the downsizing with resources, including severance packages and career transition assistance, they said.
