Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department, Kosciusko County Prosecutor’s Office and Warsaw Community High School teamed up Friday to present students with insight into the criminal justice system. Steve Waldeck, along with his students from the WCHS business law and ethics class, visited the Kosciusko County Jail and Justice Building for a tour. Once the tour was completed, the students participated in a mock trial with staff from the prosecutor’s office. The students toured the jail, the 911 dispatch center, general offices for the county business and then the courts. The mock trial was based off of an actual case summary and had the students participate in the court room setting. Photo provided.
