Milford Library Celebrates National Children’s Book WeekBe sure to visit the Milford Public Library the week of May 1. The library will be celebrating National Children’s Book Week. Every day, they will draw a winning name for a children’s book and stuffed animal. The library will have six prizes (pictured) to give away. Children’s Book Week, established in 1919, is not only a celebration of books, but of connection. This beloved program continues to grow and adapt each year with new resources and celebration ideas, according to a news release from the library. This year’s theme, “Read Books. Spark Change,” speaks to the power that books and stories have to inspire positive change. Books can spark change within an individual reader, a family, a classroom or a whole community. Celebrate with the library May 1-6 at the Milford Public Library. You may enter the drawing once a day.
