ANGOLA – Mildred Pauline Ritenour, 94, Angola, formerly of Etna Green, passed away Sept. 20, 2016, at Lakeland Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Angola. She was born Dec. 27, 1921, to Ira and Edna Sult Bickel. On Nov. 23, 1939, she married Russell R. Ritenour, who died May 24, 2007. She graduated from LaPaz High School in 1939. She was a homemaker and helped Russell on the farm. She is survived by a son, Robert (and spouse Johanna) Ritenour, Angola. She was blessed with several grandchildren: Robert Ritenour Jr., John C. Ritenour, Susan K. Ritenour, Laura Ritenour Stephens, Tami Escapule (and spouse Arley), Jeff Ritenour (and spouse Shelly), Denise May (and spouse Carl), Pete Poe, Lisa Nifong (and spouse Mark) and Candy Witt (and spouse Gary). She also is survived by numerous great- and great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded by her parents; a son, Dennis M. Ritenour; and several siblings. Funeral services will be at noon Saturday at Deaton-Clemens Funeral Home, 115 S. Main Street, Bourbon. Burial will be at the Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Bourbon.
