NORTH MANCHESTER - Mildred L. Putman, 95, formerly of Silver Lake and Claypool, died at 7:05 p.m. March 17, 2008, in Miller's Merry Manor, Warsaw.

She was born Nov. 10, 1912, in Silver Lake, to John and Olive Huffman Gall. On Jan. 26, 1942, she married Arvid J. Putman, who died Aug. 16, 1986.

She was a homemaker and a 1930 Silver Lake High School graduate. She was a member of Laketon American Legion Auxiliary, Packerton United Methodist Church and the former Faith United Methodist Church, Silver Lake, where she was active in the women's organization.

Surviving are two daughters, Arvada (and spouse Eldon) Spangle, Claypool, and Beverly (and spouse Wayne) Delaney, North Salem; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by four brothers and four sisters.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at DeLaughter-McKee Mortuary, North Manchester, with Pastor Noel Reed officiating. Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery, Silver Lake.

Calling is from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
