NAPPANEE - Michael P. "Pete" Stanfield, 59, of 25415 CR 26, Elkhart, died unexpectedly at 3 p.m. April 24, 2007, in Elkhart General Hospital after a brief illness.
He was born March 24, 1948, in Lebanon, to Herbert and Ruby Peace Stanfield. On June 8, 1969, he married Connie Losee, who survives.
Moving to Elkhart from Florida in 1996, he was a Syracuse High School graduate. He was an insurance adjuster with American Modern out of Cincinnati, Ohio.
Also surviving are a son, Michael Stanfield Jr., Clearwater, Fla.; a daughter, Shauna Owens, Elkhart; three grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Richard (Becky) Bushong, Florida; two brothers, Rick Stanfield, Kentucky, and Ray Stanfield, Arizona; and a stepfather, William Stutzman, Clearwater, Fla.
Services will be at 4 p.m. Sunday at Thompson-Lengacher & Yoder Funeral Home, Nappanee. Cremation will occur.
