AKRON – Michael M. Reed, 80, Akron, died Wednesday, Jan. 7, 2026.
Mike was born May 5, 1945, in Akron, to Lloyd and F. Grethel Hutchison Reed. On Aug. 22, 1975, he married Mary Lou Miller at the Olive Branch Church; she survives.
He served his country in the U.S. Army, spending time in Germany before being deployed to Vietnam. Following his wishes, no services will be held. His remembrance place will be in the Silver Creek Cemetery, of rural Silver Lake.
The arrangements have been entrusted to Hartzler Funeral Home, Akron.
Memorial can be made in his memory to the donor’s choice of charity.
