MILFORD – Michael Allen West, 73, of 10554 N. Grove Road, Milford, died at 3 a.m. Nov. 20, 2014, at his residence after his 1-1/2-year fight with cancer. He was born Sept. 4, 1941, in Warsaw, to Arthur S. and Marjorie West. On April 1, 1979, he married Judith Brumbaugh, who survives. He was a lifelong resident of Kosciusko County. He served in the National Guard, and graduated from Warsaw High School and Ivy Tech Community College. He was a master woodcraftsman, whose legacy will live on in blood and oak with all of the various woodworking projects that included building clocks and furniture for family and friends. He also was an outdoorsman, and enjoyed riding his motorcycle, going for walks and mushroom-hunting in the springtime. He enjoyed the company of his family, friends and neighbors. His carport was often a popular neighborhood gathering point, which included friendly conversation, laughter and a few “tall tales.” He was a truly loved husband, father and friend. Until we meet again! Also surviving are three sons: Scott Hartter, Milford; Mark (and spouse Michelle) West, Springboro, Ohio; Kris (and spouse Jenny) West, Warsaw; two daughters, Wendy West (and spouse Rick) Hiner, Syracuse, and Krista Brumbaugh Milford; 12 grandchildren: Matthew, Macey, Michael, Ashley, Joshua, Amanda and Johnathon West; Anthony and Darryn Zartman; Breanna Hiner; Ian and Zavian Brumbaugh.
