Metzger Weighs in on Qaddafi

Editor, Times-Union:

Are you happy now?

I guess you tax slaves believe everything that happens nowadays is a movie and not real life.

The press and politicians hyped you into a frenzy about Qaddafi, who, incidentally, had one of the most well-operating countries in the Mideast. But he made the fatal mistake of suggesting he might go onto the gold standard and bring other African countries into an association for economic progress.

Now he was stepping on the big boys toes. International banks and transnational corporations weren’t going to stand for that.

So you tax slaves for the most part cheered as La Cesspool Grande ran up a $2 billion bill to get one man. There was a bit of collateral damage of a few hundred thousand dead, the Libyan infrastructure blown to bits. That’s not the entire bill either.

Of course, it was as usual to thwart a Libyan invasion of the U.S. no? Was it to thwart an invasion of his neighbors? No. It was to save the Libyan people from their leader. I am sure when the atta boy din calms down the Libyans will say, “Please, don’t save us again.”

It’s only borrowed money. Ask your Congressman or U.S. “Sinator” if they agreed with a $2 billion hit to get one guy.
