Continuously serving Kosciusko County since 1854
Metzger Auction will host the final online auction at the former Penguin Point headquarters, 2691 U.S. 30E, Warsaw, offering the public a final opportunity to own a piece of the Indiana restaurant brand.
The auction will feature Penguin Point memorabilia, commercial restaurant equipment and the lighted Penguin Point sign currently resting atop the building. Items range from collectibles and decor to fryers, ovens and other industrial kitchen assets.
Founded in the 1950s, Penguin Point operated for more than 70 years across northern Indiana. The closure of its remaining locations in 2023 marked the end, and this auction serves as the brand's final sendoff.
"This auction gives fans the final chance to take a piece of Penguin Point's legacy home," said Josh Witt, whose family business will soon occupy the former headquarters.
Witt, a third-generation owner-operator and Warsaw native, is establishing his family-owned business headquarters at the facility. It will support more than 30 NAPA Auto Parts and Do it Best Hardware stores across Indiana, Michigan and Ohio, according to the release from Metzger Auction.
Auction details, bidding information and item listings are available now, with bidding ending Jan. 18.
