NAPPANEE – Merl D. Chupp, 82, of Wakarusa, died at 3:50 p.m. Dec. 24, 2011, in his home after an extended illness.
He was born March 25, 1929, to Ray E. and Ada M. Yoder Chupp. On Jan. 28, 1950, in Wakarusa, he married Carylin Y. Shaum, who survives.
He was a retired farmer and had also worked at the Bremen Feed Mill. Prior to retirement, he also worked at Nappanee Supersweet (ADM) for 30 years. He attended Nappanee Missionary Church.
Surviving are two sons, Craig (and spouse Linda) Chupp and Lyndell (and spouse Amy) Chupp, both of Goshen; a daughter, Nan (and spouse Philip) Miller, Goshen; a brother, Carlyle E. (and spouse Pearl) Chupp, Nappanee; a sister, Shirley (and spouse Bob) Glenn, Wakarusa; and five grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Nappanee Missionary Church. Burial will be in Union Center Cemetery.
Calling will be from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. today at Thompson-Lengacher & Yoder Funeral Home, Nappanee, and one hour prior to services.
