Melbadine Frushour

AKRON – Melbadine Frushour, 87, of 1729 Bancroft Ave., Rochester, died at 4:45 p.m. July 21, 2013, in Hickory Creek, Rochester.
She was born Jan. 3, 1926, in Switzerland County, to Charles and Velma Kern Walston. In 1947, she married Jimmie D. Frushour, who died in 1971.
She retired from the former Torin Corp. and also worked at Western Stone Ware, Monmouth, Ill., as well as Candlelight Travel, Rochester.
She was a graduate of Wabash High School and a devoted Democrat. She always enjoyed reading and traveling.
Surviving are two sons, Jimmie (and spouse Mary) Frushour, Rochester, and Tom Frushour, Logansport; seven grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and best friends, Sue and Dave Rutledge, Monmouth, Ill. She also was preceded in death by two infant daughters and a half brother, James Backus, Wabash.
A family memorial service will be at a later date. Burial will be in Citizens Cemetery, Rochester.
Hartzler Funeral Home, 305 W. Rochester St., Akron, is in charge of arrangements.
