Matthew 'Matt' Lee Alford

ARGOS – Matthew “Matt” Lee Alford, 44, of 4811 18B Road, Tippecanoe, died at 4:58 p.m. Jan. 27, 2016, at his residence.
He was born Nov. 27, 1971, in Elkhart, to David Lynn and Marcella Sue Sanders Alford. On July 1, 1995, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Warsaw, he married Jennifer Carr, who survives in Tippecanoe.
He has lived in Tippecanoe for the last 20 years, coming from Rochester.
He worked at Chore-Time Brock, Milford, and was owner-operator of Finish First Wall Board, Tippecanoe.
He attended Warsaw Community Church, and was a past member of Mystic Hills Golf Club. He was a graduate of Tippecanoe Valley High School with the class of 1991 and attended Vincennes University.
Also surviving are a daughter, Sydney Kay Alford, and a son, Parker Matthew Alford, both at home; his mother, Marcella Phillips, Tippecanoe; two sisters, Susan (and spouse Michael) Branham, Winnsbord, Texas; and Julie (and spouse Jeff) Larson, Pierceton; a brother, Michael Alford (and girlfriend Callie Mejia), Elkhart; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Robert and Linda Carr, Mentone; a brother-in-law, Rob Carr, Mentone; and a sister-in-law, Carol (and spouse Doug) Hunt, Hartford City. He was preceded in death by his  father, David L. Alford; and stepfather, Maurice D. Phillips.
Private family services will be held at a later date, with the Rev. Jeff Pfeifer of Warsaw Community Church officiating.
Calling is from 4 to 8 p.m Monday at Earl-Grossman Funeral Home, Argos.
