Mary ‘Sue’ BlantonMary “Sue” Blanton, age 74, of Claypool, passed away Monday, April 6, 2020, at 7:43 p.m. in her residence.
Sue was born Sept. 14, 1945, in Silver Lake, to William and Vicie England Hopkins. She was united in marriage to Gene Blanton on Oct. 3, 1962, in Paintsville, Ky.
Survivors include her husband, Gene Blanton, of Claypool; children: Tammie (Jackie) Rich, of Claypool; Roger (Lesa) Blanton, of Etna Green; Danny Blanton, of Warsaw; Candi Kayler, of Warsaw; Ron (Carla) Blanton, of Pierceton. In addition, she is survived by sisters, Linda Bennett, of Atwood; and Betty (Hobert) Ratliff of, Warsaw; 18 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by both parents and a son, Brandon L. Blanton, in October 2019.
A private funeral service will be held on Friday, April 10 at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw. A public graveside service will be held on Friday, April 10 at 12:30 p.m. in Lakeview Cemetery, Silver Lake.
