WABASH - Mary Pauline Shalley, 89, of Wabash, died at 6:55 a.m. June 9, 2010, in Wabash County Hospital.
She was born April 16, 1921, in Wabash, to Russell and Nina Dodgson Purdy. On June 13, 1941, she married Virgil "Woody" Shalley, who died Aug. 11, 1949.
She was a homemaker, a former member of Lebanon United Methodist Church and a 1940 Wabash High School graduate.
Surviving are two sons, Terry (and spouse Pamela) Shalley, Kokomo, and Phil Shalley, Silver Lake; a daughter, Sue (and spouse David) Ridenour, Wabash; three granddaughters: Julie (and spouse Michael) Perea, Ann Arbor, Mich.; Adrienne (and spouse Joshua) Nailbauer, North Manchester; and Erin Shalley, Winona Lake; a grandson, Kelby (and spouse Keri) Ridenour, Portland, Ore.; and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, two great-grandchildren and a brother, Robert.
No services are planned. Burial will be at a later date in Pilgrim's Rest Cemetery, Huntington County.
McDonald Funeral Home, Wabash, is in charge of arrangements.
