NAPPANEE - Mary Miller Schmucker, 81, of 25123 CR 54, Nappanee, died at 11:30 a.m. Feb. 10, 2008, in her residence.
She was born April 12, 1926, in Elkhart County, to Ezra B. and Goldie Miller. On Nov. 20, 1952, she married Earl E. Schmucker, who survives.
A lifetime area resident, she was a member of Old Order Amish Church and a homemaker.
Also surviving are five daughters: Etta (and spouse Larry) Borkholder, Milford; Clara (and spouse Merle) Yoder, Shipshweana; Ruth (and spouse Lyle) Hochstetler, Ligonier; Dorothy (and spouse Merlin) Yoder, Nappanee; and Judy (and spouse Maynard) Hostetler, Topeka; five sons: Elmer (and spouse Katie) Schmucker, Garnett, Kan.; Raymond Schmucker, Irvington, Ky.; John (and spouse Donna) Schmucker and Eugene (and spouse Mary) Schmucker, both of Nappanee; and Howard (and spouse Lisa) Schmucker, Bremen; 73 grandchildren; 42 great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Delbert (and spouse Barbara) Miller and Marvin (and spouse Edna) Miller, both of Nappanee. She was preceded in death by two grandsons, three brothers and two sisters.
Services will be at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at the family residence with Home Ministry officiating. Burial will be in West Union Center Cemetery, Nappanee.
Calling is after 2 p.m. today and all day Tuesday at the family residence.
