Mary Maxine 'Maxie' Schultz

FORT WAYNE – Mary Maxine “Maxie” Schultz, 93, Huntertown, passed away peacefully Feb. 23, 2015, at Heritage Park Nursing Home, Fort Wayne.
She was born Jan. 12, 1922, in Fort Wayne, to Roy and Amelia C. Dennis Benton. In 1941, she married Walter F. Schultz.  
She graduated from North Side High School in 1940. She worked at Magnavox for many of years before retiring in 1985. She was a lifelong Catholic and member of St. Vincent De Paul Parish.
She loved her seven children, their families, her country home surrounded by various wildlife and her many pets.  
She is survived by two daughters, Vicki (and spouse Jan) Savitz, Chicago, and Connie (and spouse Wayne) Beery, Warsaw; three sons: David (and spouse Laura) and Jerome (and spouse Connie) Schultz, all of Fort Wayne; and Paul Schultz, Louisiana. She was loved by her seven children, 16 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by two daughters, Diane K. Ley, Kansas City, Mo., and Carol Sue Forbes, Syracuse.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at St. Vincent De Paul Catholic Church, 1502 E. Wallen Road, Fort Wayne. Burial is in Highland Park Cemetery.
A rosary service will be at 9 a.m. and calling is at 9:30 a.m. Friday at the church.
