Mary Lou Steffe, 84, of Warsaw, went to be with the Lord at 2 p.m. Sept. 1, 2013, in Miller’s Merry Manor, Warsaw.
She was born Aug. 15, 1928, in Warsaw, to John and Susie Brandenburg Kindle. On Aug. 15, 1948, in Atwood, she married John Edwin Steffe, who preceded her in death Feb. 22, 2006.
A lifetime Kosciusko County resident, she graduated from Warsaw High School in 1946. She was a homemaker, and she had been employed by the Times-Union newspaper in the circulation department. She was a longtime member of Walnut Creek United Methodist Church, Warsaw.
Survivors include two sons: Greg (and spouse Jackie) Steffe, and Kevin (and spouse Teresa) Steffe, all of Warsaw; four grandchildren: Kyle (and spouse Caitlin) Steffe, and Conner Steffe, all of Warsaw; Kacee Steffe, Van Wert, Ohio; Lauryn Steffe, Indianapolis; two brothers, Gene (and spouse Joan) Kindle, Danbury, Wis.; Ray (and spouse Nancy) Kindle, Warsaw; and a sister, Kay Lingofelter, Warsaw. She was preceded in death by a brother, Floyd Kindle.
Services are at 1 p.m. Wednesday at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw, with Pastor Steve Ailes officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.
Calling will be from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral chapel.
