Mary Lou Hall, 80, died at 7:36 p.m. Dec. 3, 2011, in Kosciusko Community Hospital, Warsaw.

She was born April 13, 1931, in Pierceton, to Walter Sammuel J. and Phyllis Elizabeth Trachsel Ward. On April 5, 1953, in Walton, she married Richard Ray Hall, who died Feb. 17, 1997.

A lifetime Kosciusko County resident, she was a homemaker and a member of Beta Sigma Phi sorority. She was a long-time volunteer at Kosciusko Community Hospital, Warsaw; was on the board of directors for Cardinal Learning Center, Warsaw; and was a regular at Zales’ Lunch Counter. She never knew a stranger, was quick to be a friend and loved her family.

Surviving are two daughters, Michele (and spouse Tracey) Bail, Goshen, and Julia L. Moore, Leesburg; six grandchildren: Jason, Eric, Sara, Katy, Jamie and Taylor; and a sister, Linda (and spouse Dan) Layman, Logansport. She also was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Bailey Moore, who died March 3, 2011, and a brother, James Ward, who died July 15, 1980.

A memorial service will be at 4 p.m. Sunday at Titus Funeral Home, Warsaw, officiated by Pastor Eric Ohman of First Presbyterian Church, Warsaw. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.
