Mary Elizabeth Hashemi, 83, Warsaw, passed away at 10:45 p.m. March 1, 2014, at her residence. She was born June 10, 1930, in Bellevue, Ky., to Tobias and Elizabeth Emark Blenke. On Jan. 22, 1954, in Cincinnati, Ohio, she married Hossein Hashemi, who preceded her in death Jan. 28, 2007. She was a homemaker and a resident of Kosciusko County for the past 55 years where she was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Warsaw. She will be lovingly remembered by her two daughters, Sussan Larty, Warsaw, and Mimi Monroe, Milwaukee, Wis.; two grandchildren, Andrew Larty, Indianapolis, and Sarah Larty, Warsaw; one brother, Albert Blenke, Tennessee; and two sisters, Dr. Anne Blenke and Helen Brunstrom, both of Florida. She was also preceded in death by her parents. Services will be at 4 p.m. Friday at a funeral Mass at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 125 N. Harrison St., Warsaw, with Father Phil DeVolder officiating.
