Mary E. Ashley, 93, Avon Park, went to be with our Lord Sept. 8, 2014. She was born Feb. 3, 1921, in Cortland, N.Y., to Ross and Mable Huff. She was married to Howard R. “Bud” Ashley, who preceded her in death. She had resided in Florida since 1998, having come from Warsaw, where she had lived most of her life. She worked at Warsaw area banks for many years. She was active in the Order of Eastern Star and the Presbyterian Church. Surviving are two daughters, Jayne Ashley, Avon Park, and Joann Getchell, Indianapolis; three grandchildren: Carrie, Jamie and Eric; and two great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be at 1:30 p.m. Sunday at Hillcrest Cemetery, Pierceton, with Chaplain Bob Jarboe officiating.
