AKRON – Mary Ann Edwards, 88, Akron, died at 11:32 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 1, 2017, at St. Vincent Kokomo Hospital.
She was born Nov. 22, 1928 in Walton to Harland C and Lottie B. Burrous Bowyer.
She was married to Ernest Dover Richardson for 26 years. Then she married Glenn W. Edwards, who preceded her in 1975.
She was a factory worker and a cook at restaurants and truck stops as well as a homemaker.
In years past, she loved to fish and go boating, especially in Florida. She always enjoyed cooking for her children.
Survivors include a daughter, Sue Stone, Georgetown; a son, Dan Richardson, Peru; a daughter-in-law, Grace Dewalt, Macy; a son-in-law, Fred Meade, Silver Lake; two granddaughters, Mindee Turner and Wendy Greene; eight grandsons: Daniel and Ryan Richardson; Jimmy, Jason and Kyle Stone; Bobby and Danny Dean; and Eddie Pruitt; 13 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and a sister, Katherine White, Kokomo.
Services will be at 11:30 a.m. Monday, Nov. 6, at Hartzler Funeral Home, 305 W. Rochester St., Akron. Visitation will be from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Monday at the funeral home.
Burial will be at the Walton I.O.O.F. Cemetery, Walton.
