AKRON – Marvin Nay Marshall, 54, of 708 E. Arthur St., Akron, died at 9:58 p.m. Oct. 11, 2012, in Hickory Creek, Rochester.

He was born April 25, 1958, in Warsaw, to Laymon Ray and Betty Sue Howard Marshall.

He worked at Champion Door, Warsaw, for 10 years, then worked at Da-Lite Screen, Warsaw, for 24 years. He loved woodworking as well as his very large music collection with as many as more than 3,000 albums.

Surviving are his grandmother, Rosie Prater; two brothers, Jimmy Ray Marshall, Rochester, and Brian Butler Marshall, Kentucky; a half sister, Shirley, Georgia; an aunt, Virgie (and spouse Doug) Holland, Talma; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, DJ Marshall.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Hartzler Funeral Home, 305 W. Rochester St., Akron, with Pastor Luther Bailey officiating. Burial will be in Rochester IOOF Cemetery.
