Martin’s Hosting Annual ‘Secret Santa For Seniors’

Posted
SOUTH BEND – Martin’s Super Markets is hosting its 18th Annual “Secret Santa for Seniors program at all 20 store locations through Dec. 12. Customers are asked to select a local senior citizen’s gift wish tag from trees on display, along with small gifts like boxed chocolates, fuzzy socks for hand lotion.

“Our Secret Santa for Seniors program is one that our customers look forward to supporting each and every year, particularly during these times when so many seniors have been isolated from their families,” said Doug Dillman, vice president, Regional Operations, Martin’s Super Markets. “During this time, no group has been more impacted than the senior citizens in our community who are living in nursing homes, assisted living facilities or in their own homes, but isolated from family and friends this holiday season. We want to remember them at this special time of year.”

The senior gift wishes have been gathered from REAL Services, the Elkhart County Council on Aging, the Region IV Area Agency on Aging and several nursing homes and other senior living facilities. Customers are also able to donate online when placing curbside pickup or delivery orders at https://martinsgroceriestogo.com. The gifts will be picked up by the facilities and wrapped and delivered to the seniors in time for Christmas.
